Lake Alagol

At the west side of the delta is Alagol, the bay of Candir, which is heated by a number of thermal springs. This may be the reason why the bay is the mating scene for the loggerhead turtle in the second half of April.

Lake Alagol is very shallow (surface area 0.55 km2 , max depth 4m) on the west side and a number of channels are knitting the flat as a net.
